About SLR Motorsports

SLR Motorsports was founded by Steve Murray, Vice President of Murray Homes Inc., and Larry Shanaberger, Project Manager at Murray Homes Inc.

Both Steve and Larry have years of experience in karting and motocross and they decided to take their passion for speed and performance to the next level by forming SLR Motorsports.

Both Steve and Larry are qualified SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) Regional drivers and made the decision to join the popular spec Miata class.

The Miata class features some of the most competitive races anywhere in part due to the large participation in the class. Many races within the Miata class draw more than 50 entries all veiing for the number one spot.

Additionally the SCCA Regionals are a well known breeding ground for national Champions.

When they are not on the race track, Steve and Larry are still in the thick of things at Murray Homes Inc., one of the Sarasota areas most respected luxury home builders in a highly competitive market.

Under Steve’s guidance the team at Murray Homes has won multiple awards and was voted Best Of Houzz.com by members of the Houzz.com community and helped to launch sister company Murray Realty. Murray Realty is a boutique real estate brokerage that specializes in marketing luxury homes in Sarasota’s waterfront communities.
